The first international conference dedicated to Andean butterflies will be held in Urubamba, near Cuzco, Peru, from September 4-6, 2008. The conference is being organized as part of the Tropical Andean Butterfly Diversity Project, as an opportunity for students in particular to present the results of research on Andean butterflies and to meet others working on this group. The primary language of the conference will be Spanish, though presentations may also be given in English.
